Oil Spill Cleanup Nearing Completion

How You Can Help
Federal and State officials are winding down their Cosco Busan oil spill cleanup
efforts. We need your help identifying any areas that remain significantly oiled so that we can ensure that as much of the oil as possible gets cleaned up. 

If you see a significant amount of oil near the shoreline, please call the West Coast Spill Hotline at  800-852-7550 and tell them you are reporting oil from the Cosco Busan.  Then, please alert Baykeeper of what you have seen (how much, where, and when - include photos if you have any) at volunteer@baykeeper.org.  We will continue to follow up on cleanup efforts as needed.  While documenting oil, please be careful to not harm marine habitat during low tide and to keep a distance from birds and wildlife.

Post Oil Spill Restoration Public Meetings
Come hear agency plans to restore the San Francisco Bay in the wake of the oil spill.   This meeting will not include discussion of oil spill cleanup efforts.
