A donation of stock to Baykeeper is both generous and tax-wise. Baykeeper's work to protect the waters of the San Francisco Bay will benefit from your contribution, while you will not be required to pay capital gains tax on the stock's increase in value. In addition, your charitable tax deduction is equal to the full market value of the stock.
